I am trained, and have experience with, various counseling methods to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and low self esteem. Treatments I incorporate into the therapeutic setting include dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), gestalt, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and accelerated resolution therapy (ART).
I am able to tailor my approach based on your individual needs and preferences.

Most of my clients meet with me weekly. Having frequent, regular counseling sessions helps us build rapport, assess your immediate therapeutic needs, and you can see and feel the progress you’re making.
As my therapeutic approach differs from person to person, so does my scheduling. You may want sessions twice weekly, or biweekly. We will work together to find the right schedule for you.

At this time I am providing online therapy in Colorado and Texas.
Colorado residents: By the end of 2022 I will provide face-to-face therapy in Woodland Park, Colorado.
I will have the ability to provide ecotherapy, where our sessions are held outdoors in nature. This will allow me to provide therapy from Colorado Springs to Denver.
I only offer online therapy for Texas.

Sometimes, this can take a little bit.
Therapy is an ongoing process. Through counseling, you will build confidence, emotion regulation, and coping skills. Time is needed for you to get to a deeper understanding of the why and how of what you’re doing, and to actually apply the skills you learn through counseling in real life.
The timeline of therapy varies from person to person. We can see each other anywhere from 6 months to years. The average client feels prepared with the tools to successfully navigate the world without the support of weekly therapy in 12 months.
If you are seeing me for Accelerated Resolution Therapy only, I ask clients commit to 3 sessions (two 50 minute sessions and one 80 minute session) within 3 weeks.
Our first session will be 50 minutes to talk about ART and your needs.
Our second session will be an 80 minute ART session.
Our third session will be a 50 minute session to follow up and process.
While you can continue to see me, some clients only come for one or two ART sessions. Clients often feel so much better after a session they don’t feel they need additional help!
-
I have a 48-hour cancellation policy.
If you need to cancel for any reason make sure to give me 48 hours notice to avoid paying the late cancellation fee, which is the full session rate.
I do understand that this is not always possible and will taking into consideration illness or other extenuating circumstances.
-
My focus is individual therapy, you are my client. While I do not offer family therapy or couples counseling as a service, we can discuss bringing your loved one/support person into a session if desired and appropriate.
-
I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
Both ART and EMDR use eye movements to facilitate visualization techniques focused on helping to reduce distress from traumatic memories.
ART focuses more directly on how negative images are connected with emotional and physical reactions. The specific and unique way in which the techniques are delivered in ART tend to result in a more rapid and complete recovery.
Clients find relief from distress by the end of a treatment session rather than having to wait for several sessions.
Many people find relief with ART that they did not get previously with EMDR

Accelerated Resolution Therapy is an extremely effective and powerful form of trauma therapy.
As it is a trauma intervention, I only schedule A.R.T. sessions in 90-minute blocks to ensure there is enough time for you to have the full healing experience.
The amount of time and money you would spend on “regular” talk trauma therapy is much higher than the fee for a session, and you’ll experience relief immediately.
-
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is an approach to therapy to help you learn to cope with difficulty emotions.
-
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is considered a subtype of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), both involve talk therapy to help better understand and manage your thoughts and behaviors.
However, DBT puts a little more emphasis on managing emotions and interpersonal relationships.
You’re at a crossroads, continue doing what you’ve always done, or make a change to create a life worth living.
